In the heart of Haute Provence, Digne les Bains is crossed by three streams! The city is located at the confluence of three valleys: Bléone, Mardaric and Hot Waters. It is from this last valley that springs a hot springs famous since ancient times.

Downstream from the Gorges du Verdon , Lake Sainte Croix is testimony to the importance and the indispensability of water on the territory. Its hydroelectric dam holds 767 million cubic meters of water and forms the second largest artificial lake in France.
